For that reason, I like his “Repertoire” books — even if the pieces aren’t all especially interesting and the notes are sometimes a bit “meh”. If one has money and is planning to become more educated, I know I would and eventually will purchase the book for myself, because you never know what you may or may not learn from one that spent years studying the classical guitar and repertoire, as well as some of the standards that are out there after all, they are probably standards for a reason.

Though all the pieces in the thf are in the PD somewhere, some are hard to find, like a couple of Broca pieces, some are actually to my knowledge to be found elsewhere except in the Noad Romantic Anthology. Don’t show me this again. I regularly sight read pieces in the first three but really haven’t found this one to be as interesting or enjoyable.
